What is the difference between an electric shaver and a pusher?

Electric Shaver

• Blade structure: Foil head or rotary floating cutter head, blades hidden under thin metal foil.
• Cutting effect: Cuts hair flush with the skin, gives smooth bald / clean-shaven result, nearly zero residual hair.
• Usage: Shave beard, stubble, or scalp for a fully smooth finish.
• Limitation: Not good for long hair; it will get clogged easily if cutting long hair.
• Typical look: Round multi-head rotary shaver or foil shaver.

Pusher / Hair Clipper / Head Trimmer

• Blade structure: Exposed movable tooth blades. Usually work with limit combs (guards).
• Cutting effect: Leaves a fixed length of hair on the skin (0.5mm~many mm, depends on guard). It cannot shave completely skin-smooth without special zero-gap blades.
• Usage: Cut long hair, buzz cut, haircut styling, adjust hair length, shape hairlines. Exactly the product on your EMC certificate: head trimmer.
• Limitation: Cannot get a totally smooth close shave like an electric shaver.
• Typical look: Elongated body with exposed tooth cutter.
